Team Time

Today was a packed, awesome day! We kicked the day off with some team devotion, followed by church, then a little bit of sightseeing in Berlin. Since getting here I think all of us have grown to appreciate more and more the rich culture and history of this city. After a small tour of Berlin we headed back to Middle Point (AIA’s drop in/meeting place in Berlin) for more team devotion.

After only a few days, I can already sense God starting to make spiritual changes in my life. One thing that I wanted to focus on coming into this trip was being comfortable with praying out loud in front of others. Thankfully I had the opportunity to express that in front of the team before we had really started our devotions together and it gave me a little sense of relief. Still, the thought of praying out loud made me nervous. However tonight I was asked to close the evening in prayer and to my surprise, felt very little nausea (lol). Maybe it wasn’t the most eloquent of prayers, but it was a small step of growth for me. I’m also starting to understand that God doesn’t care about my words so much as what is in my heart.

This past weekend has been our team orientation. Here we are meeting in AIA's meeting place in Berlin, called Mittel Punkt (direct translation means "there is no middle point").
