Rewarding Camp and Amazing Hosts

Today is Friday, our last day of camp. This week has been a blast, and it makes me sad knowing we will be leaving these campers at the end of the day. Our interactions with the campers have developed quickly into friendships, and the level that some of them have opened up to us is astounding. We leaders have had some deep conversations with the campers about how life, meaning and happiness relate to Jesus, and their receptiveness has shown us that they are genuinely pondering the profound questions of life. level of skill that the campers had coming into the camp was all over the place, but to see some of the campers improving so much over the week is rewarding. On another note, our hosts have been off the chain. I can confidently speak for the four players on this tour when I say we were surprised with how hospitable our hosts have been. They have been keeping us well fed, keeping our laundry clean and are overall such generous people. The leaders and coaches as well have been singing praises for their hosts. As we move into the weekend and onto next week, we are excited and looking forward to what God has in store for us in the second half of our tour. – Jason
