Description: After 4 tours to Russia over the past decade, AIA is breaking new ground in the Baltic States with this 2013 tour. Strong connections with the hockey federations in Estonia and Latvia, have paved the way for this project. A tour of Estonia’s top league will see stops in 5 cities throughout the country, with a quick trip into Latvia to close out the project. In each city, the team will not only play the local squad, but also have the opportunity to run hockey clinics and partner with local churches reaching out to serve the youth of their communities. Along the way, you’ll be pushed physically and mentally to adapt your game to the European ice, and challenged spiritually to take steps of faith, discovering more of God’s plan for you as a Total Athlete.
The day-to-day routine is not set in stone, but here are some things you can expect:
- Bible study/training to share your faith and grow in your faith
- 5-6 games against top league teams in Estonia and Latvia
- Youth hockey clinics
- Sharing your story and/or the Gospel
- Free time
- Travel/shopping at local markets / local sight-seeing
