God uses the “small and unlikely”
The enthusiasm of the camp continues today as our coaches lead the campers in exciting drills and games. By participating in the drills alongside the campers, our basketball players are developing fun and meaningful friendships with the kids. I had an encouraging conversation with one of the girls today about what it means to have Jesus as your best friend and constant companion. She was comforted by the fact that Jesus will never leave her and will walk by her side daily, especially since she had to move to Germany 2 years ago from the USA, leaving her family and friends behind. As she described her frustration with always being labeled the “small one,” I reminded her of the truth that God uses the small and unlikely people to display His great power when we trust in Him. She returned to the court uplifted and ready for new challenges.
